Shabwah Refineries Company is a hydroskimming refinery consisting of a Crude Distillation Unit (CDU), Gasoline Production complex and Jet Fuel Unit with a capacity to process 20,000 barrels of crude oil per day. The Refinery will have the capacity to produce gasoline, straight-run diesel, Jet Fuel, LPG and Heavy Fuel Oil and be developed in two Phases. Phase I of the Project will consist of the Crude Distillation Unit (“CDU”), Jet Fuel Unit, Tankages and associated Utilities and Phase II of the Project will be installation of the Gasoline Complex consisting of a Naphtha Hydrotreating Unit (“NHT”), Reformer and Isomerization Unit. The Project will be financed by the equity partners of Shabwah Refineries Company .
The Project will be installed in Yemen’s Shabwah Province at Al-Nashima Port. Yemen has an estimated 3,000,000,000 barrels crude reserves which ranks it 29th worldwide.
Shabwah Refineries Company long-term goal is to operate a 20,000 BPD Hydroskimming Refinery built with a modern and efficient design which is capable to produce high quality distillate products. We use UOP, Honeywell Technology.

Shabwah Refineries Company will refine crude oil into petroleum products for use as fuels for transportation, heating, paving roads, generating electricity, and as feedstocks for making chemicals.
Shabwah Refineries Company will have the capacity to produce Gasoline, Straight-run diesel, Jet Fuel, LPG, and Fuel Oil . The Company’s refinery will take crude oil and distill it into these products.
